Frequently Asked Questions
-
This program is ideal for dogs with everyday behavior challenges, new adopters, and owners who want a strong, practical start to training.
-
I’m happy to help you with obedience training, but this is not a full obedience program. More owners tend to need help with stopping behaviors, so that’s often the focus of these sessions. Once we stop the behaviors, then obedience training can come into play.
-
You’ll have a clear path to continue training on your own. If you need additional support, single follow-up sessions are available.
-
No. These sessions are tailored to you, whether you’re a beginner or have prior training experience.
-
Yes! Corrections will be exactly how we’ll stop your dog’s unwanted behaviors. Examples of corrections can include leash pops, throwing a bonker (towel or pillow) at the dog, an e-collar correction, etc. It all depends on what’s meaningful to your dog in a given scenario. We’ll help you troubleshoot for your particular situation and show you how to effectively use corrections so your dog understands them.
-
I’ll bring prong collars, e-collars, slip leads, and other tools that may be useful for us to use during the sessions. I’ll also show you how to make a bonker out of a towel or pillow you already have. I don’t sell any tools - you can purchase them on your own if you want to continue using them.
