Welcome!
We’re Skyline K9, a San Diego-based dog training company whose mission is to help dog owners enjoy their dogs.
Owning a dog should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience — not a daily source of frustration or stress. Whether you’re looking for solutions to unwanted behaviors, or just looking to get your dog some basic training, we’re here to help. With balanced, effective training tailored to your dog’s unique needs, we’ll work together to help you make dog ownership everything it’s meant to be.
A Balanced, Results-Driven Approach to Dog Training
At the heart of our training philosophy is balance. We believe in rewarding dogs when they make good choices—but we also know that real-life behavior issues like barking, jumping, or raiding the trash can’t be solved by tossing treats and hoping for the best. Instead, we correct unwanted behavior in a fair, consistent way, then guide dogs toward what we do want them to do.
Our mission is to empower dog owners with tools and knowledge to communicate clearly and compassionately with their dogs. Training tools such as prong collars, e-collars, and slip leads can be incredibly effective when used properly—and we’ll teach you how. We also place a big emphasis on structure in the early stages of training, which sets the stage for long-term success.
If you’re ready to take your dog’s training seriously, step into the leadership role your dog needs, and build a stronger bond along the way—we’re so excited to get you started!

Meet the Trainer
Alexis Weaver
Hi! I’m Alexis. I’m a Certified Dog Trainer with a Master’s in Environmental Engineering (yes, quite the combo!). I’ve always been fascinated by dogs, but it wasn’t until I had a few challenging ones of my own that I truly understood how overwhelming it can be when you’re faced with behavior issues and don’t know where to turn to get results.
I started out using positive reinforcement methods alone, but quickly discovered I wasn’t getting the results I so desperately needed. I expanded my skillset into what is now considered “balanced” training (using positive reinforcement, foundational leadership work, and corrections), and this has made ALL the difference. What I’ve learned along the way has completely transformed my understanding of what it truly means to have a well-trained dog. This shift has allowed me to create deeper, more lasting impacts for both dogs and their owners.
My goal is to help owners experience the freedom that comes from trusting their dog, and from trusting themselves to navigate whatever challenges come their way.
